Challenge to Families

 

Adopt a child.  Virginia One Church, One Child asks you to seriously consider adopting a child.  We hope that you will adopt a waiting child—a child from foster care.  The majority of the children who wait are  school aged, a teen, or a part of a sibling groups of two or more.  There are more than 1300 children in Virginia who languish in the foster care system, hoping and truly deserving a loving and permanent family.

 

Can you be that family?  All kinds of families are needed. Married couples, single moms or dads, empty nesters as well as couples just starting a family are all encouraged to begin the adoption process today!

 

You don’t have to be “perfect” to adopt.  Clearly, there is no perfect person or family. You do have to be flexible, be patient through the process, and  be willing to love, nurture, protect, guide,  and commit to parenting a child not born to you.
