Opportunities abound and you, too, can be a resource for waiting children.

 

 

• Volunteer at a recruitment activity, an adoption party, a match event, or manage an information table at a church or community event

• Invite VA OCOC to make a presentation to your organization or community group

• Place adoption flyers/handbills at your workplace or where people gather in your community

• Offer assistance to a family that has adopted; be supportive and offer to provide child-care; share items that you may have that the new family needs

• Encourage community leaders to become advocates for adoption and for the needs of children
