Cross Jurisdictional Project
This project is designed to minimize barriers to cross jurisdictional placements in Virginia. Project activities include video-conferences, social worker match retreats, and adoption "match" parties. Another focus of the project is the use of technology to increase communication and efficiency in matching children with approved families. Making "connections" is the approach. The project is operated in collaboration with Coordinators/2, Inc.

Quality Improvement Center on Adoption
VA One Church, One Child serves as lead organization in this collaborative called PEACE-Partners for Enhancing Adoption Connections and Effectiveness. Serving as lead organization in this collaborative called PEACE-Partners for Enhancing Adoption Connections and Effectiveness. It is a research project designed to build enhancements into the adoption process and to document if these enhancements improve adoption opportunities for children in foster care in targeted jurisdictions of Virginia- specifically, the County of Henrico, James City County, Goochland County, and the City of Petersburg. Unique features include child-specific and targeted recruitment plans; comprehensive preparation of children for adoption; adoption services from application to finalization; supports and advocacy for families throughout the process. Other partners include Lutheran Family Services of VA, Inc; Community Linkages, Inc.; the City of Petersburg, and the Counties of Goochland, Henrico, and James City, VA. This project is supported by the United Methodist Family Services, Inc.

Rural Recruitment Project (RAFI)
A recently formed collaboration including VA One Church, One Child, the VA Department of Social Services, Community Resources Adoptive Foster Family Training (CRAFFT), and the Center for Adoption Support and Education (CASE) to enhance the recruitment, development, and support of rural families to become adoption resources for Virginia's children.

National Network of Adoption Advocacy Programs (NNAAP)
NNAAP is a collaborative partnership including the leadership of One Church One Child programs in Virginia, Oklahoma, and Illinois together with other adoption programs across the country including OCOC Organizations, Child Placing Agencies, Parent Support Organizations and other Child Welfare Organizations.

The Network was funded October 2003 by the Children's Bureau, part of the Federal Department of Health and Human Services.

The Network is dedicated to (1) supporting and enhancing the collaborative effectiveness of new and existing adoption advocacy programs modeled after the OCOC concept of “faith-based” partnering and (2) developing programs in diverse cultural communities that utilize the OCOC concept.
